January 5, 2008 ~ Wellington CO to Roundup MT

We left Wellington bright and early and began the 532 mile drive to Roundup. While breakfasting at the hotel, we learned there had been severe storms in the west and were headed our way. Not wanting to get caught, we pushed on all the way to Billings, where we met Audrey's friend, Louie, for a meal at the Olive Garden. Afterward, Rog and Louie went to Home Depot to buy the supplies needed for building the shipping crates, while Audrey and I stopped at the Family Dollar store before heading on home to Roundup.
While we thankfully missed the worst of the storm, most of our drive through Wyoming was quite windy. We saw several "big rigs" pulled off to the side of the highway, waiting for the wind to let up -- but Rog kept right on driving, although he felt at times that the U-Haul might very well topple over. Praise GOD, between the prayers Audrey & I sent up and the Guardian Angels perched on top of that truck, he stayed firmly on the road through even the windiest of gusts!

Finally! I get to try Olive Garden! On a side note, Rog was a few minutes into his meal when he discovered a rather large piece of broken china buried under his vegetables... after notifying one of the staff, profuse apologies were offered by the waitress and manager and his meal was not charged.
