January 3, 2008 ~ Alamosa & Las Animas CO

The morning of the 3rd, Rog and I drove the 165 miles east to Las Animas, stopping in La Junta on the way to obtain a hotel room for the night. Audrey remained in Alamosa and arrived at the hotel later in the evening, when she caught a ride with Mary Ann, who retrieved her husband and two daughters from her in-laws' home in La Junta.
Along the drive, we passed through a little town called Walsenburg, which had some picturesque buildings that I got a few shots of and wide open vistas along Hwy 10, which was a joy to behold. The day became increasingly warmer the farther east we traveled - from right around zero degrees F in Alamosa to the mid-50s in Las Animas.
While in Las Animas, we had nice visits with both of Rog's "Uncle Bobs" - Bob and Marion Branson (Dad's brother) and Bob and Elva Foulk (Mom's brother). We were invited to lunch at the Bransons and dinner at the Foulks and enjoyed our time spent with both!

We would be so grateful if you could give us their address or email. To authenticate who I am, tell bob I still have the top of the crying towel. My email is bigbird50@srt.com. phone 701-784-5502. Thanks.
